Morgan House Kalimpong or Morgan House is a mansion of British colonial architecture built by an English jute baron George Morgan in the 1930s on the hill station of Kalimpong, Kalimpong district, West Bengal. Today, the mansion is a hotel managed by West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDC). Delo Park atop Delo Hill provides beautiful mountain views, exotic flowers, landscaped gardens, certain recreational activities and picnic spots. It is a popular picnic spot for tourists as well as locals. It’s a nice experience walking in the cloud. It is said that on a clear day, the snow-clad mountains are also visible from this Delo hill / park. Overall a nice place to visit and spent some quality time with family and friends. Kalimpong Science Centre is situated near to Deolo Hill. It houses science observatory, 3D movie theater and some scientific objects for display including live working models. The place also has a nice garden with certain outdoor activities mostly for kids like swings, climbing ropes, see-saws, models of dinosaurs etc. Overall, it is a nice place to visit while in Kalimpong for beautiful view of hills. At a distance of 5 km from Kalimpong Bus Station, Zang Dhok Palri Monastery is a Buddhist monastery located atop Durpin Dara Hill in the beautiful hill town of Kalimpong, West Bengal. Popularly called as Durpin Monastery, it is one of the largest monasteries in Kalimpong and among the well-known Buddhist monasteries in West Bengal. At a distance of 500 m from Kalimpong Bus Station, Haat Bazaar is a famous market place in Kalimpong. Situated in the city center, it is an important shopping hub of Kalimpong and also one of the great places to visit in Kalimpong. Haat Bazaar is bustling local village market held every Wednesday and Saturday between 7 AM to 6.30 PM. It can be reached from Rishi road in Kalimpong. Villagers from nearby areas come here and set up stalls to sell their goods. The market is quiet popular and one can experience the true local flavors.
